TOTAL STATIONS AND AUTO LEVEL FOR CIVIL WORKS

For doing the civil work two instruments are absolutely necessary . The name of the instruments are "Total Station and Auto level. At the very beginning of the project different points were marked to determine the area of the project . This was done with the help of the GOVT official who are responsible for Land . The area thus marked then a general layout plan was made . Depending on the situation a few benchmark was created at  convenient locations for all future references.The benchmark is a brass plate where latitude and longitude are marked along level from MSL ( Main Sea Level). After that many other temporary benchmark was created to carry

out the erection and construction work. But if in doubt one can fall back to original benchmark for reference .Where ever there is a very critical activity such type of checking becomes necessary. Earlier days this type of checking takes time but now a-days with help Total stations and auto level ( dumpy level) its becomes very easy. Both the instruments are very accurate and gives results accurately.  Setting the machine on tripod need to be accurate because some times we need to measure the point quite a distance then any error on levelling will give erroneous result. There is illaborate procedure about leveling also instrument with TRIPOD are having the provisions also. It needs a bit of training to learn and operate the machine .

While discussing the construction equipment we avoided pile drive equipment as its use is depended on soil condition not a must. Now a days we are using hydraulic bore pile machine . Any body wants to see the picture of bore pile then refer previous page picture number 2 wherein some bore pile hydraulic machines are visible.  

For a project two super critical boiler at least 10 nos bore pile machines are required .Also two to three set instruments were required in the beginning and requirement can be reduced afterwards.
