The term “
COMMISSIONING ” is used to describe the activity involved
during
the latter stage of erection up to the completion of the 72 hours
trial run
on full load, which leads commercial operation.
The commissioning phase is a period of intense activity where many previously unrelated activities start to merge or interact with one another forming a complex sequence of events, with the advent of large generating units, the increased complexity of the plant and the closer limits available on the operating parameters, it is essential to ensure that the plant has been thoroughly tested prior to the normal operation so that initial performance can established and defects and omissions clear. BOILER COMMISSIONING ACTIVITIES
The
commissioning team will organize their activities in such a manner that the
following jobs are completed to meet the
boiler light up requirements:
1.
Trial of ID&FD fans.
2.
Trial run of air heaters and readiness of AH soot blowing
and fire fighting
system.
3.
Readiness of the light oil systems for firing.
4.
Trial run of ignitors fans
5.
Trial run of rapping mechanism of E.P.
6.
Gas distribution test on E.P.
7.
Air load test of EP.
8.
Readiness of feed pump
9.
FSSS simulation for the bottom elevation.
10. Boiler
interlock and protection check.
11. Readiness
of the bottom ash protection and water seal.
12. Trail
run acid circulating system.
from HT of Boiler to check the erection completion of the system. They check the following erection completion. 1. All Buckstay erection completion and its free ness. There should not be any restriction of furnace expansion. 2. Furnace roof completion . 3. Hanger support of Pressure Parts and piping checking. 4. Minimum insulation completion. 5. Burner alignment and soot Blower nozzle setting 6. Collection of all latest PID drawings . 7. Collection of all other relevant data and protocols from erection group. 8. Duct erection checking specially support ( fixed and sliding) 9. Checking of rotating machines like ID ,FD , scanner fans etc. These are preliminary checking other checking will come across as time progresses.
