Debasish Guha: I HAVE THIRTY FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ON BUILDING POWER STATIONS AT DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA. DURING ERECTION AND COMMISSIONING OF POWER STATION IT WAS FELT THAT CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISORS AND ENGINEERS KNOWLEDGE ABOUT A POWER STATION IS VERY LIMITED TO HIS OWN FIELD. CONSTRUCTION FIELD IS UNORGANISED IN INDIA. IT FELT PRUDENT TO GIVE THEM KNOWLEDGE OF ENTIRE POWERSTATION IN BRIEF SO THAT THEY CAN UNDERSTAND THE LINK OF THEIR WORK TO SYSTEM. ALSO NEW ENTRANTS WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH GOOD TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE.
